Yige has been actively involved in teaching, student mentoring, and coaching at the University (both within the Department of Materials and the Department of Engineering Science) since 2020.
In addition to serving as a College Adviser, Yige coaches DPhil and Postdoc students to help enhance their career development. She is extremely proud of this work and the fact that many of her mentees have gone on to achieve prominent roles in academia or industry. One such mentee said of her impact:
“(Yige) gave me the confidence to grow, to go for it, and to use the space as an opportunity to showcase my skills.”
