Linacre alumna Jennifer Star (MSc Education, 2011) has recently been recognised in the annual India Australia Business & Community Awards . IABCA celebrates the Australia India relationship while honouring migrant entrepreneurship and community leadership.
Jennifer was awarded the the Young Community Achiever, and was given the award for founding and directing her not-for-profit-organisation, Tara.Ed, an education NGO that improves the quality of education in rural India through teacher training and capacity building, infrastructure development and resource mobilisation. To date Tara.Ed has impacted the lives of over 10,000 children and 500 teachers in India,
