Meeting with Her Imperial Highness, Empress Michiko, Dr Nick Brown and Dr Heath Rose attended a Special Tanner Lecture at Ochanomizu University in Japan. The main speaker was Professor Dame Carol Black, DBE, FRCP, who gave a lecture entitled Women: Education, Biology, Power and Leadership. The second speaker was Mrs Atsuko Toyama, Former Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
